Earlier this week EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton Eopa and Barack Obama called President Bashar retreat.

Obama also imposed new sanctions against Syria that harsh, freezing the assets of the country and put on a blacklist of oil and gas sector, aiming to increase the pressure to stop the bloody crackdown against protests that killed more than 2,000 people.
